Job Title : ICU RN
Shift : 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00), 3 shifts per week
Duration : 1-year contract
First-Time Travelers : Accepted (with previous ICU experience)
No Previous Perm/Staff : Candidates with prior permanent/staff positions at the facility not eligible
Requirements :
- Experience : Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- Certifications : ACLS, BLS
- Skills :
- Blood product administration
- Central line/PICC line management
- IV initiation
- Management of continuous IV sedation, cardiac drips, vasoactive drips
- Care for ventilated patients, respiratory failure, suctioning (ETT, NT)
- CVA/acute stroke management
- Assist with BiPAP/CPAP
- Telemetry
- Floating : Required
- Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend
- Patient Demographics : Adolescents, adults, geriatrics
- Unit Details :
- Medical ICU with a respiratory focus
- No cath lab (no STEMI, IABP, etc.)
- Low surgical volume, rare neurosurgery
Systems Used :
- Medication : Omnicell
- Documentation : Meditech
- Communication : SBAR
Time Off : Pre-approved time off depends on the duration of the request.
