Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality veterinary care to at-risk animals
Manage medical cases and oversee patient flow
Supervise Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs)
Lead medical rounds and develop standard operating procedures
Handle administrative tasks and interdepartmental communication
Required Qualifications
Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine
3+ years of experience in GP, specialty, or shelter setting
NY State veterinary license
Fear Free Shelter certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in shelters
