Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement orientation program for employees
  • Conduct General Orientation incorporating relevant regulations
  • Coordinate and monitor orientation activities
  • Develop lesson plans and conduct in-service programs
  • Implement infection prevention and control programs
  • Provide education to staff, residents, and families
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities
  • Serve as a resource for Managers regarding staff development needs

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
  • Current RN license in the state of employment
  • CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain
  • Minimum of five years of recent clinical nursing experience required
  • Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN or related baccalaureate preparation in education
  • Certified as a CPR instructor
  • Certified as an Instructor for the Missouri Nurse Assistant Training program
  • Educational and supervisory/management experience
  • Previous experience in long-term care
