Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years
  • Age limit: Must be referred before turning 40 (some exceptions apply)
  • Formal training including a two-week paid pre-academy orientation and a 101-day CBP Field Operations Academy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Prior law enforcement or military law enforcement experience
