Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
  • Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s veterinary clinics
  • Provide compassionate, quality preventive care to patients
  • Coach veterinarians on effective client communication
  • Ensure positive workplace culture through regular feedback and support

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
  • Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
  • Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous people management experience strongly preferred
