Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Provide patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting
Perform clerical and administrative duties related to patient care
Communicate directly with patients to complete the registration process
Utilize computer systems to enter or verify patient data
Collect patient co-pays and conduct conversations about financial obligations
Generate and analyze patient data reports
Maintain knowledge of registration requirements for various units
Required Qualifications
1+ years of customer service experience
Ability to work normal business hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
Experience with Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department
Working knowledge of medical terminology
Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification
Ability to perform basic mathematics for financial payments
Experience in requesting and processing financial payments
