Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties related to patient care
  • Communicate directly with patients to complete the registration process
  • Utilize computer systems to enter or verify patient data
  • Collect patient co-pays and conduct conversations about financial obligations
  • Generate and analyze patient data reports
  • Maintain knowledge of registration requirements for various units

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Ability to work normal business hours from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
  • Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics for financial payments
  • Experience in requesting and processing financial payments
