Job Description
Join Raytheon's Flight Avionics Team as a Principal GPS Systems Engineer, where you'll leverage your expertise in GPS technology to develop state-of-the-art guidance electronics for missile systems. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to architect and validate cutting-edge electronic solutions, ensuring our nation's security and defense.
Key Responsibilities
Provide GPS electronics solutions for missile products
Develop architecture, requirements, and electronics design
Analyze hardware designs and subsystems
Collaborate with missile level system engineers
Interface with suppliers of navigation or guidance electronics components
Participate in mentoring within the team
Support multiple programs
Travel as needed, including foreign travel
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with electrical hardware development
Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
Understanding of navigation subsystems/components
Technical experience with integrated Guidance Electronics systems using GPS and IMU
Knowledge of M-Code
Familiarity with Matlab scripting and tools
Experience with hardware integration and testing
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
Experience in developing proposals
Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
