Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients
Guide and supervise assigned nursing personnel
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and coordinate ancillary staff
Serve as a unit resource and teacher
Assist the Nurse Manager in operational activities of the patient care unit
Participate in staffing and scheduling functions
Support and advance Service Excellence strategies on the unit
Mentor and support newer staff
Required Qualifications
Current RN licensure in State of Connecticut
BSN or actively matriculating for a BSN
Three to five years of acute care experience
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree
Professional certification
Charge nurse/leadership experience
