As a U.S. Army Orthopedic Surgeon, you'll treat Soldiers and their families by providing exceptional surgical and nonsurgical care. This role offers the chance to advance your medical skills through continued education and impactful humanitarian missions while serving your country.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct surgical and nonsurgical treatments for Soldiers and their families
Perform diagnostics and determine treatment plans for musculoskeletal disorders
Utilize state-of-the-art medical equipment
Participate in continued education and research
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
Current license to practice medicine in the U.S., D.C., or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
Completion of at least one year of approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
U.S. citizenship for Active Duty or permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in orthopedic surgery
Research experience in the orthopedic field
