Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
• No call or standby requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Must have strong cardiac telemetry background, preferably 2 years experience
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam through UNA prior to start (maximum 2 attempts)
• Pass/fail simulation lab on day one of orientation
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips independently
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips per physician orders including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Care for ED hold patients waiting for placement on hospital units, primarily medical/surgical and telemetry patients
• May assist with ED patient care including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration
• Navy scrubs required
• Floating requirements to medical/surgical/telemetry units and sister facility as needed
• 2-shift orientation to medical/surgical/telemetry at primary campus
• Charting system: Cerner
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
