Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state eligibility
• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Room, triaging and prioritizing patients based on acuity
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as ordered
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status, vital signs, and responses to care
• Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
