Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Direct the work to ensure overall patient movement through the department
Assign patient care activities and assure staff qualifications
Monitor and maintain staff performance
Facilitate challenging situations
Role model excellent attendance and positive communication
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field
2 years of experience as RN in psychiatric behavioral health unit
6 months experience as Charge Nurse or supervisory experience
Current Connecticut License as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in health-related or business field
3 or more years of experience as RN in psychiatric behavioral health unit
12 months experience as Charge Nurse or supervisory experience
Leadership experience
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Certification in clinical area
