Key Responsibilities
Conduct surgical and nonsurgical treatment of Soldiers' musculoskeletal injuries
Determine treatment plans based on diagnostic care
Utilize state-of-the-art medical equipment
Engage in continued education and training
Conduct research in orthopedics
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
Current license to practice medicine in the U.S., District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
Completion of at least one year of approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
U.S. citizenship for Active Duty or permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in orthopedic surgery
Research experience in the field of orthopedics
