This position is responsible for performing quality ultrasound examinations at the direction of a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP). Sonographer utilizes application of advanced clinical and technical knowledge to provide safe quality procedures aligned with Cook Children's values and Our Promise. This position is accountable for providing direct patient care and maintaining expertise for all ages spanning from neonatal/newborn to young adults. The patient acuity ranges from stable outpatients to critically ill patients on full life support.
Qualifications:Completion of accredited Medical Sonography Program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
Three years of ultrasound experience preferred
ARDMS or ARRT(S) registry eligible to be completed within 18 months of hire
CPR - BLS required
