Job Description
Join MLK Community Healthcare as a Certified Nurse Midwife, where you will provide compassionate care in a collaborative environment. Your role will involve managing women's health through pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care, ensuring high-quality patient experiences and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide primary women’s health care focusing on pregnancy and childbirth
Perform comprehensive history and physical exams
Manage inpatient care and evaluate diagnostic tests
Prescribe treatments and medications
Provide client teaching and counseling
Participate in peer review process and audits
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in related field
Current licensure in the state of California (RN and CNM)
Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)
Current furnishing number and DEA license
Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school/university of nurse-midwifery
Three (3) years’ experience preferred
Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation
Certification in Limited OB ultrasound
