Job Description
Join Drax as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician and play a vital role in maintaining electrical and instrumentation equipment at our production facility, contributing to a sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, test, adjust, calibrate, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems
Maintain a functional knowledge of the operations software and hardware
Perform preventative maintenance inspections of all control instrumentation
Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures
Complete work order cycles and enter equipment history
Diagnose existing or potential trouble with plant electrical equipment
Clean, lubricate, calibrate, and adjust equipment
Install and place electrical equipment into service
Perform housekeeping duties as requested
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years industrial maintenance experience
Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo and Frequency Drives
Preferred Qualifications
Technical degree
Multi-craft skill set
