Job Description
Join the dedicated care team at CHA PACE as a Phlebotomist, where you'll travel to participants' homes to perform essential blood collection and testing procedures. This role emphasizes compassionate care and requires proficiency in venipuncture and specimen handling in a home care setting.
Key Responsibilities
Travel to PACE participants’ homes to draw blood samples
Greet participants and verify their identification
Explain phlebotomy procedures to participants
Perform venipuncture and ensure accurate specimen collection
Label specimens immediately after collection
Perform additional point-of-care testing as required
Provide post-collection care and monitor vital signs
Dispose of used materials following safety protocols
Maintain detailed records of medical issues impacting test results
Transport collected samples to the laboratory
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Phlebotomist
At least 1 year of experience in routine phlebotomy procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian-Creole
Over 1 year of recent full-time phlebotomy experience
