Schedule:
- Tuesday - Saturday - 07:00 am - 03:30 pm
- Sunday - Thursday - 07:00 am - 03:30 pm
Overview:
Join our team as a diesel tech 2 or 3, for Carvana in Rocklin, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose (using diagnostic equipment) and perform general preventative maintenance and DVIR for all heavy equipment
- Perform scheduled repairs and resolve issues uncovered during inspection
- Changing brakes, Adjusting steering systems, replacing parts, fixing complex electrical issues, changing hydraulic components, changing tires according to TIA guidelines
- Use welders, torches and plasma cutters to weld or fabricate broken parts
- Maintain accurate and proper records for all repairs performed on our fleet using our software
- Use diagnostic equipment to pull fault codes and follow OEM diagnose trees to accurately diagnose equipment
Requirements:
- 1+ year experience with class 8
- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- Must have your own tools to complete daily tasks, specialty tools will be provided by Carvana
- Types of tools required: Sockets, wrenches, screw drivers
- OUTDOOR Shop
- Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping/pushing and/or pulling in an environment that be cold, hot, noisy & wet & may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
- Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet
- Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively and in a professional courteous manner
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and oral
