Job Description

Join Raytheon's Product Design and Packaging Department as a Senior Electrical Component Engineer in Tucson, AZ. You'll leverage over 100 years of engineering expertise to support critical programs through parts engineering and component selection, ensuring a safer, more secure world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine program statement of work and customer component application requirements
  • Provide technology insertion and parts selection/standardization guidance
  • Interface with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Create component verification data packages
  • Support multiple program integrated product teams
  • Facilitate component selection and libraries application

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or Advanced Degree with minimum 3 years of experience
  • Experience with Parts Standardization application and technology insertion
  • Experience with development of component data/drawings
  • Experience with BOM development and management
  • Experience in design with integrated circuits, semiconductors, and passives
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to navigate complex processes and tools
  • Understanding of technical theories related to electronic components
  • Knowledge of component reliability processes
  • Familiarity with lab common equipment
