Cath Lab Technician – Travel (Days)
Assignment Details:
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday, weekends required
Location: Illinois
Contract Type: 13-week Travel Assignment
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will assist with procedures, provide diagnostic support through organ and body scans, and ensure accurate preparation, positioning, and imaging. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in specialized imaging procedures and the ability to assist physicians and PAs during complex cardiovascular interventions.
Responsibilities:
Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ and body scans.
Prepare and position patients accurately; select anatomic and technical parameters.
Prepare and administer contrast media and medications per scope of practice and regulations.
Monitor patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.
Perform and assist with specialized imaging procedures such as angiography, vascular, and nonvascular interventional/therapeutic procedures.
Support Radiologists and PAs during complex cases.
Monitor and update imaging protocols as needed.
Ensure compliance with all radiation safety procedures, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
High School diploma with 1–2 years of experience, OR Associate’s/Technical degree, OR 4 years of cumulative relevant experience.
Required Certifications/Licenses:
BLS (AHA or Red Cross)
Radiologic Technologist – ARRT (any specialty)
Illinois Radiology Tech License (IEMA)
Preferred Certifications:
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCI
Experience:
1–2 years Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred
