Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Communicates directly with patients and/or families to complete the registration process
Responds to patient and caregivers' inquiries in a compassionate manner
Utilizes computer systems to enter, access or verify patient data
Generates, reviews and analyzes patient data reports
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare environment
Intermediate level of understanding of insurance policies and procedures
Intermediate level of experience working with requesting and processing financial payments
Ability to work onsite at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center
Ability to work any 10-hour shifts from 7:00am - 5:30PM Thursday - Saturday
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of registration experience in a hospital or medical setting
1+ years of experience working in an Emergency Department setting
Understanding of medical terminology
Working knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and patient care settings
