Key Responsibilities

  • Communicates directly with patients and/or families to complete the registration process
  • Responds to patient and caregivers' inquiries in a compassionate manner
  • Utilizes computer systems to enter, access or verify patient data
  • Generates, reviews and analyzes patient data reports

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Intermediate level of understanding of insurance policies and procedures
  • Intermediate level of experience working with requesting and processing financial payments
  • Ability to work onsite at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center
  • Ability to work any 10-hour shifts from 7:00am - 5:30PM Thursday - Saturday

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of registration experience in a hospital or medical setting
  • 1+ years of experience working in an Emergency Department setting
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and patient care settings
