- White Memorial Neonatal Medical Group (WMNMG) at Adventist Health White Memorial (AHWM) Hospital in East Los Angeles, CA, is currently seeking a neonatologist to join our group :
- Board certified, with at least 3 years of experience in care of level III NICU patients.
- Good teamwork and communication skills with the parents and the NICU team.
- Independent contractor position.
- Holds a California medical license or is able to have one.
- High level III Community NICU, separate space to each baby allowing partial privacy.
- Week on/Week off block schedule.
- Federal holiday coverage is expected 1–2 per year.
- Days are covered by the MD, partially supported by the NNP. Nights are covered by the MD – for now – from home within 30-min driving distance.
- Standard care of 23-week GA and above.
- Soon to include selected 22-week GA.
- Conventional and HFOV, non-invasive support
- Nitric Oxide
- Access to subspecialties on staff: pediatric neurology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric infectious disease, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric orthopedics, ROP exam in-house, PT/OT/ST and local pharmacist. Dedicating maternal fetal medicine team.
- Special studies available in house: ECHO, XR, contrast imaging, US, MRI/CT, sleep study & pH monitoring, EEG.
- Access to additional subspecialties consultations and referral to nearby higher centers is available 24/7.
- Local ground transport team.
- Weekly multidisciplinary round with different team members in the NICU.
- Monthly M&M round with the Ob group.
- Opportunity to work with family medicine residents rotating in the NICU.
- Compensation is on the higher side of the average in the area; paid malpractice insurance, and Medical Staff membership.
