Join Providence as a Senior Phlebotomist and play a vital role in patient care by performing essential laboratory duties. You'll work with a dedicated team to ensure the highest quality of service and support for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
Reception and telephone duties
Proficient operation of laboratory equipment including HIS/LIS systems
Specimen handling: receiving and processing
Preparation and shipping of lab specimens for reference laboratories
Specimen/patient registration
Phlebotomy - collection of blood samples by venipuncture or capillary stick
Therapeutic blood collection
Swab collection of specific Micro samples
Training new staff as assigned
Dispatch functions, EKG performance, collection of drug screens, and Breath Alcohol Testing when assigned
Required Qualifications
Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
2 years experience in a clinical lab setting
Experience in 7 of the basic skills described in the essential functions of the job description
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework/Training: Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy training Program/Course approved by WA State
