Job Description

Join Kaiser as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to provide essential mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services. In this part-time role, you'll collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individual treatment programs and provide support to members and their families. Your expertise will help shape the mental health landscape in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals and groups
  • Chart member’s treatment in accordance with state regulations
  • Consult with staff on diagnosis and treatment
  • Collaborate with physicians regarding psychotropic medications
  • Supervise PSW Assistants and Interns if qualified
  • Respond to emergency psychiatric care needs
  • Prepare intake summaries and maintain confidential records
  • Participate in departmental program development and evaluation

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare from a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire
  • Familiar with DSM-V for diagnosis
  • Experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapy research methods
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
  • Competence in individual, family and group psychotherapy
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous post license, paid experience in an outpatient psychiatric treatment team
  • Experience in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity
  • Commitment to quality of service and teamwork
  • Accuracy in diagnosing patients and developing effective treatment plans
  • Competence in individual, family and group psychotherapy
