As the Director of Development and Marketing, you'll lead efforts in planning, coordinating, and organizing development initiatives while fostering relationships with donors and managing marketing activities. This role is pivotal in enhancing the organization's fundraising capabilities and ensuring effective communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy
Prepare and manage budgets and reports for development activities
Cultivate relationships with individual and corporate donors
Plan and execute fundraising events
Identify new fundraising opportunities
Develop and maintain marketing materials
Support digital marketing efforts
Create and implement a cohesive marketing strategy
Establish a strong presence on social media
Maintain consistent branding across communication platforms
Manage media contact lists for press releases
Participate in emergency response efforts as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Minimum of five years of experience in development and event planning
At least three years of experience in communications and/or marketing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing tools
