As a Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our HVAC products meet and exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The successful candidate will build a team of quality professionals, implement, and maintain robust quality management systems, and drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Responsibilities :
Quality Management System (QMS):
Develop, implement, and maintain an effective Quality Management System in compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to quality processes and identify areas for improvement.
Product Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and enforce quality standards for HVAC products from design through production.
Implement and monitor quality control processes to identify and resolve deviations in manufacturing processes.
Supplier Quality Management:
Work closely with the procurement team to evaluate and monitor supplier performance, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality components and materials.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.
Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action:
Lead investigations into quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and implement robust corrective action plans to address non-conformances and prevent recurrence.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing process enhancements to optimize efficiency and reduce defects.
Training and Development:
Develop and deliver quality-related training programs to ensure that employees understand and adhere to quality standards and processes.
Foster a culture of quality awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business Administrations, Manufacturing Management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
Proven experience in a quality, engineering, and manufacturing leadership role, with a track record of success in quality manufacturing operations.
In-depth knowledge and experience completing audits and inspections with UL, ISO, and ICC
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards such as UL, ISO 9001, and ICC.
Prior office experience using enterprise-resource-planning (ERP) software like Great Plains (GP), SAP or comparable in purchasing, receiving, production, or shipping
Solid problem-solving skills, experienced in utilizing accelerated root cause methods
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required
Strong time management, team building, and systems sustainment skills
Bilingual Spanish and English
