Job Description
Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you will evaluate and treat patients to enhance their speech and language abilities. This role allows for interdisciplinary collaboration and provides the opportunity to educate students and families while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards.
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient symptoms and medical status.
Treats patients using appropriate therapeutic techniques.
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques.
Educates patients and families on home exercise programs.
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines.
Ensures interdepartmental communication regarding patient care.
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year.
Attends continuing education courses.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic personal computer skills in Windows programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Access to reliable transportation for travel between work sites.
