Key Responsibilities
Pull overweight containers from ports, deliver to designated locations, and return empty containers
Navigate port procedures confidently and efficiently
Hook and unhook containers to the power unit; assist with loading, unloading, and securing cargo
Perform local deliveries with multiple stops using flatbed and dry van trailers as needed
Maintain constant alertness and operate vehicles safely at all times
Work independently while staying focused and on task
Adapt to changing conditions while maintaining a customer-centric approach
Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
Valid Class A Driver’s License
Valid TWIC Card
One plus year of verifiable driving experience with heavy-duty vehicles
Comfortable with making local deliveries with multiple stops
Successful completion of a driving test and all DOT pre-employment requirements
Safety-focused with the ability to maintain a legal and accurate logbook
Capable of understanding and interpreting bills of lading and picking sheets
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience using an iPad or tablet
