Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for ARC and CARE animals
Ensure high-quality, low-stress patient care
Lead research projects related to animal behavior and cruelty prevention
Collaborate with various teams to enhance animal health and welfare
Mentor and manage a team of behavior specialists
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Effective communication with all levels of staff
Experience working with behaviorally and medically compromised animals
Comfortable with humane euthanasia procedures
Fear Free certification within 6 months of hire
Low Stress Handling – Silver certified or able to obtain by end of first year
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in developing/overseeing research projects
Experience writing scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals
