**Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)**

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The RN will be responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality patient care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The ideal candidate will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Conduct nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming the basis of an individualized care plan.
- Identify patient/family teaching needs and set goals based on nursing admission assessments in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide timely patient information and status updates for Initial Team Conferences and weekly Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.
- Actively participate in the patient rehabilitation program, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, with a strong emphasis on patient education.
- Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching upon admission in anticipation of discharged dates.
- Communicate pertinent information regarding any changes in patient status to support continuity of care, collaborating with the attending physician and Charge Nurse as necessary.
- Offer direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, effectively delegating tasks.
- Uphold a safe environment for both patients and staff according to established safety policies and procedures.
- Positively enhance unit functioning by providing calm direction and support to ancillary staff, departments, patients, and families.
- Maintain open lines of communication with management about clinical needs, equipment, and training essentials to fulfill assigned duties effectively.
- Assume charge responsibilities as requested following the initial orientation period.
- Engage in professional development through continuing education and self-study, identifying personal growth opportunities.
- Prioritize activities and time management to meet the diverse needs of patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

- Current RN licensure required.
- BLS certification is required prior to the first shift.
- ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (specific locations only).
- Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience is required.
