Job Description
Join Judson Park as a part-time Infection Preventionist RN, responsible for overseeing the infection prevention and control program. Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to implement best practices for infection control, ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Oversight of the facility infection prevention and control program (IPCP)
Implementing systems for preventing, identifying, reporting, and controlling infections
Developing written standards, policies, and procedures for the IPCP
Maintaining a system of recording incidents related to the IPCP
Assisting in developing guidelines for decontamination and sterilization activities
Annual review and update of the IPCP
Required Qualifications
Completion of Accredited Licensed Nursing Program for an RN
Current LPN/LVN or RN license in Applicable State
Current CPR certification
Minimum of two years of nursing experience or one year as a nursing supervisor
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in nursing, epidemiology, microbiology, medical technology, public health, or other healthcare science
Specialty training in Infection Prevention and Control through accredited continuing education
Skilled Nursing or Senior Care experience
Clinical observation and assessment skills
Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members
