Position Highlights
  • Shift: 12-hour Nights (7p–7a) or 12-hour D/N Rotating shifts available
  • Schedule: Every other weekend & holiday
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue (provided)
  • Charting: Epic One Chart
  • Trauma Level: III
Responsibilities
  • Provide care across multiple areas:
    • Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery, Pediatrics
    • Stable Antepartum, GYN, Med-Surg overflow
    • May act as 2nd RN in SCN (Special Care Nursery)
  • Administer safe and comprehensive nursing care to mom/baby couplets, pediatrics, and GYN patients
  • Collaborate with support staff: ward clerk, CNA, charge/resource nurse, LPN scrub nurse
  • Float to Telemetry & Med-Surg if needed (per union contract, travelers float first)

  • Average Census:
    • 5 mom/baby couplets
    • 2 pediatric patients
    • 1 GYN
    • 2 active labor
    • 4 SCN
  • Ratios:
    • Mom/Baby Couplets: 1:3
    • GYN/Med-Surg: 1:5
    • Pediatrics: 1:3–4

Requirements Experience: 2+ years OB/L&D (required); Postpartum & Peds experience preferred Licensure/Certs: Active MN RN License (or willing to obtain) BLS (AHA) – required ACLS (AHA) – required NRP – required PALS – preferred Other: EPIC experience required (or specify alternative EMR)
