The Academic/Faculty/Research Physician participates in a one-year Global Health fellowship focused on Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Fellows split their time between international mission hospitals and domestic junior faculty roles at the FSU Family Medicine Residency Program in Fort Myers. Responsibilities include clinical work, teaching, and research with required certifications and licenses for practice in Florida.

We are a one-year Global Health fellowship for recent graduates with US board certification in either Family Medicine or Internal medicine. Our fellows spend up to 50% of their time overseas at mission hospitals, clinics and international Family Medicine residencies in alternating 2-3 month cycles. Time spent domestically is in Fort Myers, Florida where fellows work as junior faculty for the FSU Family Medicine Residency Program at Lee Health with much flexibility of schedule and time protected for learning.
This role does require active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, Active Florida License (or ability to obtain one prior to start date), as well as an Unrestricted DEA in Florida.
