Job Description

Join The Jewish Board as a Director of Operations, where you'll oversee a diverse real estate portfolio across NYC. Lead maintenance teams, ensure safety compliance, and implement performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency, making a meaningful impact on the wellbeing of clients and the workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day operations for agency properties across five NYC boroughs
  • Monitor and manage sysaid tickets for prompt service
  • Manage and mentor area managers and maintenance teams
  • Collaborate with external contractors for complex maintenance issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Develop performance metrics for operational effectiveness

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years working as a tradesperson
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience
  • Experience with technical building systems
  • Fluent in English
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hybrid role with field and office responsibilities
  • Familiarity with life safety system requirements and contract management
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics
  • Prior experience managing large real estate portfolios
