Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
Perform MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses
Analyze engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings, and software code for safety compliance
Collaborate with Program Management and government approval authorities
Brief safety considerations at technical reviews
Prepare internal and customer reports
Collaborate across multiple disciplines to understand product architecture
Interface with other engineering functions
Manage System Safety Working Group(s)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in System Safety, Systems Engineering, Software Development, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience
Experience developing and implementing MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with test equipment & test equipment safety in a laboratory setting
Experience reviewing software code and requirements for safety considerations
Experience preparing internal and customer reports
Experience collaborating across multiple disciplines
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
