Due to growth, we are seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our Fiduciary & Individual Tax Group, based out of our Boston, Providence, or Newport offices on a flexible hybrid basis.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diversified tax services, with a focus on individuals and for-profit entities.
• Prepares personal and corporate tax returns, including the most complex.
• Review less complicated personal and business returns.
• Assists accounting and auditing staff members in client meetings.
• Analyzes IRS notices and drafts responses.
• Reviews IRS notice responses prepared by staff tax accountants.
• Delegates work to tax staff accountants and supervises work.
• Participates in tax department administrative projects.
• Acts as director-in-charge for personal tax return clients.
• Acts as key client contact person for smaller engagements.
• Bills clients and discusses fees with smaller clients.
• Establishes good working relationships with all partners and staff members.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Master’s degree in Taxation or related field preferred
• 4+ years of accounting experience prior experience in public accounting
• Currently possesses or is in the process of qualifying for certification as a CPA, or Enrolled Agent (EA)
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing, both internally and externally
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Proficient use of applicable technology
