Key Responsibilities
Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessments
Document assessments and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
Participate in the care planning process and implement nursing interventions
Administer medications and treatments safely and timely
Monitor residents' conditions and respond to changes
Complete continuing education related to nursing practices
Required Qualifications
Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse
Current LPN license in the state of employment
CPR and AED certification required or willingness to obtain within six months
IV certification required or willingness to obtain within six months
Ability to assess the basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents
Excellent communication skills
Time management and organizational skills
Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and transfer patients
Preferred Qualifications
