Job Description
As a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens, you will lead pharmacy operations, ensuring exceptional patient care and medication management while overseeing staff performance and engagement. With a focus on enhancing the patient experience, you will implement clinical healthcare services and maintain regulatory compliance, contributing to the overall success of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
Provides pharmacy consulting services to patients regarding medications and health
Ensures medications are dispensed accurately and manages pharmacy workflow
Oversees training and performance management of pharmacy staff
Engages patients and enhances their experience with healthcare services
Collaborates with Store Manager on operational and strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications
BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire
At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling and pharmacy operations
Experience performing prescription dispensing activities with knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws
Average rating of at least 3.0 on leadership behaviors on the last performance review (internal candidates only)
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience planning, organizing, and directing the work of pharmacy staff
At least 6 months pharmacy experience with Walgreens
Average rating of 3.7 or above on leadership behaviors on the last performance review (internal candidates only)
