Job Description

Join Drax as an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to maintain and repair critical equipment at a renewable energy facility, ensuring safe and efficient operations while contributing to a sustainable energy future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, adjust, calibrate, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems
  • Maintain a functional knowledge of operations software and hardware
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections of all control instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures
  • Complete work order cycles and enter equipment history
  • Clean, lubricate, calibrate, and adjust equipment as needed
  • Install and place electrical equipment into service
  • Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a safe working environment

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo and Frequency Drives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree
