Med/Surg RN Travel Job Details

• Location: Lawton, Oklahoma 73505
• Healthcare Setting: 3-North Medical-Surgical Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Start Date: November 20, 2025
• End Date: February 19, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1470-$1570

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or compact state (required for Oklahoma nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS (AHA) and NIH Stroke Certification required
• Completed Med/Surg skills checklist within the last year
• Two recent supervisory references (within past two years)
• Ability to provide a permanent address

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments
• Perform wound care, change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
• Monitor and operate specialized medical equipment
• Assess, interpret, and record patient vital signs and measurements
• Identify and report adverse reactions to medications promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal clinical outcomes
