Key Responsibilities
Perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties in ambulatory settings
Assist providers with patient care and handle clerical tasks
Provide information to patients about clinical services
Maintain working knowledge of regulatory standards
Accurately document vitals and patient information in EMR
Schedule patient appointments efficiently
Perform patient outreach and follow-up communications
Administer vaccines and collect specimens as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical facility as a medical assistant
Graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program
Current certification from a recognized certifying board approved by NJ Board of Medical Examiners
Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
Electrocardiogram (EKG) experience
Vital signs and venipuncture experience
