Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our facilities operate at maximum efficiency. You'll be responsible for maintaining outside plant infrastructure, connecting cables, and performing construction tasks in a dynamic work environment. Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging and removing outside plant, including various types of cables and poles
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating Company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree or 2 or more years of relevant work experience
Completed Verizon Technician Program or similar programs covering electrical or lineman training
