Key Responsibilities
Delivers expert patient care in helicopters and ambulances
Assesses patient care needs and establishes priorities
Performs advanced airway techniques and treatment modalities
Administers pharmacologic agents and intravenous fluids
Monitors and evaluates invasive and non-invasive techniques
Maintains program readiness and cleanliness of supplies
Ensures system readiness post-transport
Establishes and maintains professional radio communications
Supports regulatory requirements and inspection readiness
Acts as safety officer for specialty team flights
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Successful completion of an approved Paramedic course
3 years experience as an NREMT-P
NREMT - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic
Licensed Paramedic in the District of Columbia within 30 Days
Licensed Paramedic in Maryland
CPR certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
PHTLS or equivalent certification within 180 Days
Valid State Driver's License in good standing
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Paramedic in Virginia
Significant field experience in a high acuity, high volume EMS system
Specialized and/or advanced clerical, technical or other vocational training
