Key Responsibilities
Assist in design and installation of electrical projects
Coordinate with other workers for equipment installation and maintenance
Consult with operators and engineers for equipment layout and problem resolution
Determine feasibility of standardized equipment and develop specifications
Work with voltage levels up to 480, 4160
Study blueprints and manuals for installation procedures
Perform instrumentation calculations and setup
Modify industrial electronic devices as needed
Set up and test industrial equipment
Perform preventive maintenance tasks
Inspect industrial equipment for defects
Advise management on equipment safety
Maintain equipment logs
Diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment
Install telecommunications cables
Maintain inventory of spare parts
Respond to breakdowns quickly
Work extended shifts and on short notice as required
Follow National Electric Code and safety regulations
Assist with management of contracted electrical projects
Participate in ongoing training
Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Physical ability to perform tasks including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to work under extreme conditions (heat/cold)
Ability to work in elevated areas
Must be able to operate machinery
Must be able to read/write English
High School diploma or Equivalent
Basic computer skills
Ability to work overtime and flexible hours
Must perform electrical maintenance trade
Experience with blueprints and schematics
Ability to operate mobile equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude
Basic mathematical functions skills
Willingness to work in inclement weather
Ability to work in an outdoor and indoor plant environment
Good time management and prioritization skills
Install conduit and pull wire
Strong commitment to safety
Adequate transportation
Use of multiple tools for electrical work
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with wiring and programming Allen Bradley PLCs
Experience with electrical test equipment for troubleshooting
Knowledge of the National Electric Code
Mechanical aptitude for working from blueprints and manuals
Apprentice, Journeyman or above license with the state of Nebraska or equivalent
A 2-year degree in electromechanical or electrical systems
