Job Description
The Infection Preventionist Manager will lead infection prevention initiatives at University Health, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This role requires strong leadership and analytical skills to identify and address infection control issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement infection prevention policies and programs
Analyze and interpret complex data sets to improve patient care
Manage multiple priorities and foster a climate of teamwork and innovation
Required Qualifications
Minimum of five years of infection prevention experience within a hospital setting
Baccalaureate degree in nursing
Three years of recent infection prevention experience in an acute care hospital setting
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Current certification in Infection Prevention and Control
Current State of Texas professional nursing licensure
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing
Post-graduate courses in epidemiology, infection prevention or disease control
Completion of CDC or APIC sponsored infection prevention training
