Key Responsibilities
Directs all day-to-day operations of the Nursing/Health Services Department
Defines and maintains the standards of nursing practices
Assesses the quality of care rendered
Initiates the development of policies and procedures that govern nursing services
Responsible for staff performance, recruitment, retention, and development
Collaborates with other departments regarding resources and services
Serves as a key member of the facility's core management team
Oversees nursing staffing levels within the facility
Collaborates with the Infection Control Nurse
Oversees the pharmacy and laboratory services
Ensures department's budgetary guidelines are maintained
Provides direct nursing services
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
Five (5) years' experience in nursing field with emphasis in psychiatric, substance abuse, or eating disorders required
Registered Nurse in the State of licensure, active and in good standing required
CPR Certification required
Experience in Nursing Leadership within a Residential or Inpatient treatment environment
