Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 day shifts with 36 guaranteed weekly hours

• Take call according to monthly schedule after regular department hours

• Required to wear black scrubs

• Work with EPIC EMR system

• Must have graduation from approved school of Radiology Sciences with certification in nuclear medicine

• NMTCB or ARRT(N) Registry certification required or must achieve registry within 2 months of eligibility

• Minimum 1+ years of experience required

• Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceuticals and calculate/administer doses under radiologist supervision

• Calibrate equipment and assess patient understanding of exams and informed consent

• Instruct and prepare patients for exams while interacting professionally with patients and families

• Perform diagnostic exams as prescribed by physicians

• Use scanners or scintillation cameras for radiation detection to produce organ images

• Measure radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors

• Follow radiation safety techniques and policies for radioactive material use and disposal

• Provide age-appropriate care for patients including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, geriatrics, and general population

• Practice medical and surgical aseptic procedures

• Work with medical patients in nuclear medicine specialty
