Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Travel Position
Location: Bismarck, ND

Shift: 3x12s Days
Pay: $2,077.20/week
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Bismarck, ND. This position is located in a 30-bed Med Surg unit (3CC), where the nurse will provide comprehensive care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate is highly adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a fast-paced environment with strong teamwork and clinical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and treatment administration.
Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Monitor patient status and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary staff to provide coordinated care.
Respond to emergencies and implement necessary interventions.
Float to other units as needed to support facility staffing requirements.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Registered Nurse license in North Dakota (or compact license).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
Current certification in Basic Life Support.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to thrive in a 30-bed Med Surg unit while managing diverse patient needs.
