Job Description

Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator and be a part of a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to improving patient care. In this role, you'll support the care team by ensuring accurate patient information and providing exceptional service while working with state-of-the-art technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain accurate and updated patient information
  • Perform insurance verification on the date of service
  • Obtain patient signatures for required documents
  • File and maintain medical records
  • Confirm and schedule appointments
  • Follow the Cash Security policy and procedures
  • Perform referral documentation promptly
  • Provide effective communication to patient/family team members
  • Comply with administrative policies to ensure quality of care

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working in medical front office/Urgent Care
  • Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
  • Knowledge of medical terms
