Key Responsibilities
Perform various ultrasound examinations and interpret information based on knowledge of anatomy and pathology
Evaluate normal vs. abnormal test results in correlation with patient history
Provide preliminary ultrasound results to attending physicians
Teach/educate imaging students and residents in scanning methods
Maintain equipment and perform quality control procedures
Required Qualifications
Associate's Degree
ARDMS Certification
BLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years ultrasound training from an accredited program
1-2 years previous ultrasound experience (clinical training acceptable)
Passed the abdominal or OB/GYN and physics/instrumentation exams
